Theft
DFC Christopher Childress responded to a theft report on September 29 at a home on C Street in Chesapeake Beach. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen her dual tandem kayak worth $600, while it was padlocked at the public beach area in a wooden rack. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Childress at 410-535-2800.
CDS Violation
Dep. Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Md. Rt. 4 northbound near the Calvert/Anne Arundel county line on September 29 at 11:38 p.m. The driver, later identified as Joseph Edward Proctor, 20 of Upper Marlboro, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a white owl cigar tube, used to inhale controlled dangerous substances.
CDS Violation
Ivan Rodriquez, 38 of Lothian, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, two white owl blunt cigar tubes used to inhale controlled dangerous substances into the body after being stopped for a traffic violation on September 30 at 7:55 p.m. by Dep. Roscoe Kreps. Kreps made the stop near the intersection of Md. Rt. 260 and Old Solomons Island Road in Owings. Rodriquez was charged with both offenses.
CDS Violation
On October 1 at 2:10 a.m. Dep. Moises Velasquez conducted a traffic stop in the area of Md. Rt. 4 and Nursery Road in Lusby. The driver, later identified as Laura Ann Kelly, 24 of St. Leonard, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, a clear straw that had been cut and a cut-off hose clamp (used to grind crack cocaine to powder) and a small zip lock bag with trace amounts of white residue. She was charged with drug paraphernalia possession.
