Armed Robbery in Dunkirk
CHESTER BERGEN - Staff Reporter CalvertNews.Info

On Saturday, January 27 at 11:04 p.m. units from the Maryland State Police Barrack “U” in Prince Frederick and the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a call for an armed robbery at the 7-11 convenience store in Dunkirk.

According to witnesses, an unidentified black male entered the store, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the money from the drawer.

The clerk, a male juvenile, then handed over an undetermined amount of cash. Another unidentified black male stood watch outside by the payphone.

When a customer pulled into a parking spot in front of the store, the unidentified male who was outside came in and made contact with the first male. Both individuals then walked out of the store with the cash, and headed northbound through the parking lot. They were observed running north along Md. Route 4.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigative Team were then called to investigate.

The gunman is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, in his 20’s, wearing a dark hooded coat, black jeans and a partial facemask. His accomplice is described as a black male with a goatee, about 5’8” tall, also in his 20’s, and was wearing a black, hooded Northface jacket, black tennis shoes, and camouflage-style pants. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Anthony Tillett of C.I. T. at 410-535-2800 ext. 2597.
