Thomas Cox, age 61, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Brownwood.  Visitation services for Mr Cox will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday May 30, 2009 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood with Mike Hayes officiating. 

 

Thomas was born January 24, 1947, to W.L. (Leon) Cox and Dorothy Maxine (Butts) Cox. He married Vernelle "Nell" Ketnor on May 24, 1979 in Prince Fredrick, Maryland. He worked as Superintendent for Large Construction in commercial building for 40 years, and he was a member of the Lake Brownwood Church of Christ.

Thomas is survived by his wife Vernelle "Nell" K Cox; three sons, Robert Cox, Evan Cox, and Leon Cox; two daughters, Gwen Cooper, and Melissa Crasco; Daughter-in-laws, Cindy Neely-Bowling, Becky Cox, Susan Traetta; son-in-law, Mark Crasco; seven grandsons, Jeremy Davis, Jamie Traetta, Zachary Cox, Cameron Cox, Dustin Bowling, Jonathon Cox, and Jessie Cox; four granddaughters, Brittany Steed and husband Travis, Amber Diffin and husband Daniel, Savannah Bowling, and Crystal Cox; granddaughter-in-law Jessie Payne; great grandchildren, Will Diffin, Mason Steed, Ava Steed, and Shane Davis; uncles, Bob Cox, and Bill Cox; three aunts, Mava Cox, Wanda Cox, and Nelda Cox He was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. (Leon) Cox and Dorothy Cox; a son, B.J. Bowling; and a brother, Whulen Cox, Jr.
