The Calvert County, Md., Department of Economic Development (DED) is pleased to announce the unveiling of a new departmental Web site. After 10 years, the DED has updated its Web site to provide a better public interface and make it a more user-friendly tool for the public. Several new features have been added, including an online business assistance page that includes information on starting and growing a business in Calvert County and a media room with downloadable County statistics, fact sheets, photographs and staff bios.

 

All the helpful features that were inherent in the original design are still available, including online classifieds, commercial property listings, calendar of events, visitors guide and general contact information for the DED.

 

Linda Vassallo, director of the DED says, "We have greatly enhanced our Web site with this upgrade. Since so many people get their information from the Internet today, we wanted to ensure that our portal to the public was streamlined, user friendly and full of the information that our customers seek."
