Additional K-9 unit assigned to Prince Frederick

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD - On June 5, 2009, TFC Jason Wiersma and K-9, Siko, graduated from a 14-week course at the Maryland State Police K-9 Training Facility in Howard County.  The course is designed to train both the Dog and its handler in detection techniques for drugs and or CDS.
 
 
TFC Wiersma and K-9 Siko are assigned to the Prince Frederick Barrack, where they will join TFC Murphy and K-9, Remington.  Both K-9 units will resume routine patrol activities, providing assistance to other troopers in the Southern Maryland area as well as other allied agencies.
