Drug sting nabs two Dunkirk men

DUNKIRK, MD  -  After a month-long investigation by the Calvert County Drug Enforcement Unit of the Calvert Investigative Team,  two suspects were arrested and charged with heroin possession on January 27.
 
An undercover officer met with the suspects on that date at an undisclosed location for the purpose of purchasing controlled dangerous substances, specifically heroin. After the sale of the heroin by the suspects to the undercover officer, both suspects were arrested.
 
A search warrant was executed at their residence in Dunkirk where two grams of heroin that had been packaged for sale, several syringes and other associated paraphernalia was found.
 
Ronald Wiley Gordy, 23, and Joshua Spencer Harkness, 21, both of Dunkirk, were arrested by members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team and undercover officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit shortly after the sale. Gordy is charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin and possession of CDS paraphernalia, syringes. Harkness is charged with conspiracy to sell heroin, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, syringes.
