DUNKIRK, MD - At 12:15 p.m. on March 4, 2010 the BB&T Bank located at 10264 Southern Maryland Boulevard in Dunkirk was robbed. The robber, described as a black male, handed a teller a note requesting money.
The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
No one was injured.

UPDATE: Detectives received tips when our local media placed crime scene photographs on their websites. Detective Defelice of the Calvert Investigative Team quickly developed DaRrell Lee Adams 32 of Owings, Calvert County, Maryland as the suspect in this case.
An arrest warrant was received on this same day for Adams for robbery and theft under $1,000. At approximately 10:15PM on March 4, 2010 Adams was apprehended on Route 2 in Anne Arundle County, Maryland by members of the Calvert Investigative Team. This arrest was made approximately 10 hours after the offense occurred. Adams is currently at the Calvert County Detention Center on a no bond status.
