PRINCE FREDERICK, MD - On March 1, 2010 a home invasion report was made by an adult male living on Great Reward Way in Huntingtown, Maryland. It was reported that two males entered a residence and shot the sole occupant.
Detectives from the Calvert Investigative Team became suspicious of this report when evidence that was discovered did not match what had been reported.
On March 05, 2010 the alleged victim recanted his statement and told Detectives that he had accidentally shot himself and fabricated the crime scene. Family members were helpful in the conclusion of the home invasion investigation.
The false report of this crime is an ongoing investigation.
