PFA Cosmos Green, a U13 boys travel soccer team, clinched first place three weeks before the end of the season in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) Division 4 and will advance to Division 3 in the Fall. The Cosmos have a record of 6 wins, 0 losses and 2 ties, with 19 goals scored and only 4 allowed. Led by new coach David Mongey, the Cosmos improved on last season's 7th place finish. The Cosmos started the season with a 6-0 victory over the Stafford Revolution. That victory keyed a six-game shutout streak that saw the Cosmos reach a record of 6-0-0, with 15 goals scored and 0 allowed. The Cosmos hope to end the season on a high note with a victory in their final league game against the Thunder Soccer Club on June 5 at Hallowing Point Park and a strong showing in the Southern MD Classic Tournament in Charles County on June 18-19.
