Sheriff Mike Evans wishes to announce the formation of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Police Academy.
The Citizens Police Academy is a comprehensive program designed to educate the public about the activities of the Sheriff’s Office.
The program will consist of 6 two hour sessions beginning Monday, May 19th, and re-occurring every Monday and Wednesday evening for three weeks.
The program will be facilitated by each Bureau within the Sheriff’s Office designed to give the public a first hand view into the inner workings of the county’s primary law enforcement agency.
Topics will include patrol techniques, criminal investigations, crime lab activities, traffic enforcement, K-9 operations, homeland security, and many other law enforcement related activities.
