Theft, DOP
A victim advised Dep. Michael Mudd that her vehicle’s rear passenger window had been smashed in while it was parked at the Super 8 Motel on Commerce Lane in Prince Frederick overnight between April 22 and 23. A Tom-Tom GPS navigation unit, valued at $450, was taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Mudd at 410-535-2800.
 
CDS Violation
Dep. Michael Mudd investigated a call for a suspicious vehicle containing persons possibly using controlled dangerous substances in the Yardley Hills neighborhood in Prince Frederick on April 23 at 3:44 p.m. Dep. Mudd contacted the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Patrice J. Claude Sidney, 20 of Prince Frederick, and found him to be in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, cigar remnants. He was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
 
CDS Violation
A 16-year-old male from St. Leonard was charged on a youth report with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after it was found in his vehicle by Dep. Aaron Locke on April 24 at 5:15 p.m. Dep. Locke investigated a call for a suspicious vehicle on Avenue D and Bayview Ave in St. Leonard and observed three juvenile males returning to the vehicle from the beach. After questioning, the driver of the vehicle admitted the suspected marijuana was his. The other two juveniles, both 17-year-old males, one from Prince Frederick and the other from Port Republic, were not charged.
 
Theft
Employees of Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream Parlor in Dunkirk observed a juvenile customer remove money from a tip jar on April 25 at about 7:25 p.m. DFC Michael Naecker responded and subsequently charged a 17-year-old male from Huntingtown on a youth report with theft. He was released to a parent.

Dep. Aaron Locke conducted a check on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn located in Solomons on April 26 at 10:45 p.m. The occupants were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Bonnie N. Philips, 21 of Maple Grove, Pa. and a 17-year-old male from Crofton were both charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was charged on a youth report and released to a parent.

Dep. Andrew Clas investigated a bonfire on the beach on Cove Lake Drive in Lusby on April 26 at 10:18 p.m. Six individuals were observed by him to be on the beach sitting around a bonfire. One of the subjects, later identified as Nicholas A. Byshem, 18 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a metal pipe and a glass pipe. He was arrested and charged.
 
CDS Violation
Dep. Aaron Locke arrested Ricky L. Mackall, 24, of Huntingtown and Charles E. Simmons, 21 of Lusby, and charged them each with possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, a White Owl blunt cigar, numerous zip-lock baggies used to package drugs, and a Pepsi can punctured with holes. Dep. Locke initially stopped to give roadside assistance to Simmons’ vehicle as it was parked on the side of H.G. Trueman Road.
