Calvert County, Md., Shows Appreciation for Business

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – April 30, 2008 - Once again this year, the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners and the Department of Economic Development will celebrate Business Appreciation Week. The week of May 5-9 will feature a host of special events and activities to recognize and thank businesses of all sizes and industries for their contributions to the county’s economy and quality of life and help the community better understand the important role that businesses play in our local economy.
 
This year’s theme will focus on businesses that support or enhance Calvert County’s lucrative tourism industry.
 
The week will include special events, workshops and networking activities and personal visits with county business owners by the Board of County Commissioners and staff from the Department of Economic Development.
