LUSBY, MD - May 6 - According to a press release issued by the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, a man thought to be Demetrius Hall from Lusby was found drowned in Lake Lariat in Lusby on Monday.
A few days prior to the discovery of the body, units from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 11500 Durango Drive in Lusby for complaints of a loud party. Upon arriving, a man was observed fleeing from the residence into a wooded area towards nearby Lake Lariat. Sheriff's Deputies pursued the fleeing man on foot but were unable to locate him. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the subject was 26-year-old Demetrius Lamar Hall of Lusby who was also wanted by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for child support.
The day after the party complaint, sheriff's deputies were called to 11464 Stirrup Lane, a few houses down from where the party was held, for a missing person report. Martha Tate, Hall’s mother, reported that her son was missing and was last seen at the party the previous night. Sheriff’s deputies subsequently attempted to locate Hall at several residences with negative results.
Hall had still not been seen by family members by the next day, prompting the Sheriff's Office to conduct a search of the wooden area where Hall was last observed. Subsequently members of the Special Operations Team and members of the Solomons VFD responded to the area to assist with the search for Hall.

A check of Hall’s cell phone records revealed that approximately eight phone calls were made to Hall after he fled into the wooded area.
Then on Monday, at approximately 5PM, sources tell us that a 14-year-old neighborhood boy found the body of a male floating in Lake Lariat between Sitting Bull Trail and Chaves Lane. The description of the body matched that of Demetrius Hall in race, age, clothing, and other identifying marks. The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy and positive identification.
