CONSERVATION: GLOBAL WARMING, we can all help
Sharon Slowe Macarty
It is time for all good men to come to the aid of their country, I mean World! All of us are needed to think about getting involved in and starting our own personal campaigns. Join campaigns with the idea of saving the greatest food factories of our planet. Our once pristine oceans and local rivers, lakes and streams have become dumps for garbage. We may just save the World...
It is up to every one of us to BRAINSSTORM and think of ways we can stop this catastrophe! What can we do as a World to stop Countries and Large cities from transporting their garbage on barges and dumping in our oceans?
We need concerned, caring human beings, deep thinkers to get involved in a Worldwide movement to stop this disaster immediately.
There are 200 cruise ships cruising our oceans and dumping all of their waste as close as 3 miles from shore. Now we all know that this shouldn't be allowed. There are masses of steel, and only God knows what else dumped in these once pristine waters.
We need more than Boy Scouts, we need the masses to get involved in these suicidal actions. We need to form groups of worldwide protesters, letter writers, speakers, intellectuals to solve our World's problems, people working together and then take action!
My opinion is to separate the cans, metal, steel, plastics, china, glass, paper and organic material. Then recycle those materials.
In the 1950's, while living in Seattle, my apartment building insisted that we dispose of our garbage in that manner. We never saw the garbage cans in the basement. We separated the material as we opened the garbage chute and it went down to the basement. This seems to me to be an intelligent alternative rather than mixing all of the garbage into one pile.
I am wondering if human organic waste that has been dumped into the oceans is composting, causing global warming?
