Burglar caught red-handed in Dares Beach
Chester Bergen - Senior Staff Reporter
PRINCE FREDERICK, MD - When a female resident of the Dares Beach Community left her home for a few minutes to run an errand, little did she know what she would find when she returned.  On August 15 at around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, a woman residing on Windcliff Road in Prince Frederick left her home unlocked and went to run an errand that took her only a few minutes. According to a press release from the Calvert Sheriff's Office, after returning home, she found  "a white male hiding in the shower area of her bathroom".   When asked what he was doing there, he advised her that he was trying to find her to request yard work.  At that time, she advised the male to leave.

Later that day at about 3:00 p.m., the victim noticed that an Apple Ipod, Bose ear phones and a necklace, together valued at almost $600, were missing.

Around the same time, another neighbor observed a white male, with the same description, break and enter into another home on the same street.

The police were called and apprehended the suspect who was identified as Brian Andrew McDonald, 19 of Prince Frederick.  McDonald was also positively identified by the first victim as the suspect she observed in her home.

McDonald was arrested and charged with burglary and theft.
